The owner's and staff at Bowman's are the best at what they do. They helped us lay out a landscape plan for our house, and have ordered everything we needed if they didn't have it in stock. They are always helpful and answer any questions we have. We enjoy stopping in to see what new things they have in their shop. It is quite an experience to shop at Bowman's!

Bowman's has fast become my favorite place to visit in Portsmouth! If we plan an evening for dinner in Olde Towne, we must make certain we plan it around a visit to Bowman's! Paul, Rich and the entire staff are warm and hospitable! I feel like a welcome guest in their ""home"". There's a decided attention to detail you just don't find in retail these days. I'd love to set them both loose in my home for just a day and have them bring it up to the standards I see in the shop and gardens there! Plus, I can only imagine my own productivity if I could just bottle their energy and...

i would like to defend this review posted by S Beal first and formost bowmans has always prided itself on customer service and still dose we have been voted best of portsmouth for several years now by the virginian pilot , as well as many other great reviews by noted publications it is quite evident tha s beal has never stepped foot into this establishment and is incorrect in her review of us....

Very rude staff and little; to no customer service. I felt like they had no time to help me and that they could care less if I shopped there or not. I went out of my way to do business with them and was so disappointed that I wasted my time. I went somewhere else (Mc Donald's) and they were more than happy to answer my questions and give me all the personal service I needed. Get your act together Bowman's!
