Bowden Golf Club is an 18-hole course that opened in 1940, making it the second oldest course in the City of Macon, Georgia. Bowden can provide a challenge for players of any ability, with four sets of tees on each hole, ranging in length from 4,940 to 6,626 yards..
An 18 hole, par 72 municipal golf course that includes a driving range, a well stocked pro shop, and a snack bar. The course hosts the Cherry Blossom Four Ball Tournament each year, as well as the Macon-Middle Georgia Golf Championship which is open to all Middle Georgia golfers.
This course is in good condition especially for the rates. It costs around $24.00 (under 16 plays free on the weekends). Greens are in good condition, and the carts are nice. The range, chipping and putting greens are very good. It is a more open-style course, so you're not in trouble if you hit it far left or right. Overall a great course especially for the price.
This is a great course with a great history. Was a little in the ruff side awhile back but they have a new Super Indendant and the the course already has made a 360 degree turnaround and only getting better! Fairways and greens are 100% improved. Greens have a great roll. Has a resturaunt attached that is in the process of remodeling and waiting for the opening to come. I would higy recommend it!
