I've eaten here literally hundreds of times
The food and service are consistently excellent. I always take my friends from out of town to this restaurant because I know they'll love it. My favorite is the Chico salad, I think it has something to do with the palm hearts, but I've had everything on the menu and its all really good. I love the patio. I had one small complaint/suggestion one time and the management tripped over themselves to correct it. That's the sign of excellent service to me. Love this place!

grilled meat, seafood & veggies with a twist
I've only eaten in the restaurant once, but have ordered delivery several times. The pizzas are good, as is the grilled seafood. I LOVE the plantains and am still a little clueless as to what I'm supposed to do with the yucca flour. :-) But good, solid food. We tend to order from here when we have friends over and are looking for something different from the standard pizza delivery.

Information from the business
Bossa Nova boasts flavoursome and fulfilling Brazilian and Italian cuisine in a relaxing environment. Chances are you may even catch some Hollywood insiders and celebrities incognito enjoying lunch or dinner.
Business Description from the Web
Bossa Nova specializes in comfort food with a Brazilian twist. The Sunset location’s outdoor area is smaller than the West Hollywood branch (and lacks the curbside view), but the menu is larger. Wood fire pizza and pasta are easy choices, but the sandwiches, most of which contain a combination of cheese, meat, vegetables and even carmelized banana or fried egg, are stand-outs. Grilled chicken,...

It's all about the grilled meats and Brazilian spices here. Tender chicken breasts or snapper filets are marinated in a citrus blend and accompanied by sweet, gooey plantains, black beans, rice and yucca flour. These meals are true belt busters. The pesto verde pizza is another delightful treat--robust pesto sauce and a smattering of goat cheese play beautifully off the sun-dried tomatoes. For...

They deliver. They're open late night. And they oven bake tomatoes on top of their on-the-house bread. The chicken lasagna is one of my favorite lasagnas anywhere. It's massive (size and flavor). The sangria is great and they have a great list of imported beers. Only con can be the wait but that should be indicative of what you're in line for.
Restaurant is INFESTED with COCKROACHES!!!!!!! The biggest cockroaches you have ever seen! They are on the walls, tables, floor, counters, bathrooms. INFESTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pros
+ nothing
Cons
- everything
Being a Brazilian, I feel obligated to inform everyone that this is not Brazilian food. It's not horrible food. Just nothing resembling Brazilian cuisine. If you want authentic Brazilian (which is some of the best food in the world) I recommend "Pampas Grill" in the farmer's market/The Grove on 3rd and Fairfax
Pros
+ Convenient
Cons
- Faux Brazilian food
