Local food with a side of music
The Boot is a little on the pricey side... for me, but the food is well worth it. The owner is the former owner of a music store, so the restaurant brings in live acts worth checking out!

Had dinner with 3 friends. Ordered the Duck reduced in balsamic. It was tough and chewey. And charred on the outside. The side of new potatoes were undercooked. The best was dessert - home made lemon sorbet. It made up for a bad dinner
I went to dinner with some friends a few months ago at the boot. Nice interior, the small stage could barely contain the 8 piece band that was playing. They specialize in great seasonal food. The apple brandy is delicious and the vegetable sampler fed 3 people. I recommend the Boot to everyone.
Absolutely fantastic place for a great meal! Every bite of every dish that was ordered at my table was innovative and delicious, like nothing I've ever had before. The scallops, gnocchi and the steak on their fall menu were among the favorites. This food is worth a 3 hour drive from DC!
