Editorial Reviews from the web
The Scene The jaw-dropping new-age architecture by Jordan Mozer and way-out interior decor form the perfect match for Americas' food. Although the menu is similar to its sister restaurant, Churrascos, expect a wider seafood selection and more futuristic plate presentations. The Food Generous salads are bathed in rich, creamy dressing. Try the garlic-laden Caesar de...

For sheer drama, it's hard to top this jewel in chef Michael Cordúa's restaurant empire. Handsome as the high-ceilinged, rock-walled first floor bar may be, nothing in it prepares you for the dining room above, which includes realistic representations of Incan stonework and way-out light fixtures in wild colors. We randomly found this place walking around the neighborhood. Had a wonderful lunch. My husband said his buffalo burger was the best he's ever had. My pizza was fantastic. Great wine menu and atmosphere. Very hip! Can't wait to go back when we visit NY again.
Pros
+ Food, atmosphere

Also, while the restaurant area appears to have air conditioning the bar area has limited. Apparently they didn't pay their bill on the first floor.
Pros
+ Nice decor / good location
Cons
- Rude bartenders / poor...

I was in "Americas" this past Saturday evening with friends. Our waiter was "Douglas" who was extremely attentive to our table.
The food was excellent across the board starting with the appetizers that Doug suggested. The main course I chose was a Tuna which was prepared perfectly.
The desserts were amazing and the atmosphere was memorable.
Will certainly enjoy coming back.
