Offering the largest selection of books by and about women in Texas, this store is also one of the best feminist resource centers, the place to find out about women's organizations and events statewide. Readings and discussion groups are regularly held here, too. BookWoman also carries a great selection of T-shirts, cards, posters, and music.

It is, and always has been owned and run by the amazing Susan and the wonderful women who help manage the store. They work very hard to keep Bookwoman and independent community center for women in spite of heavy competition from larger stores and chains. Much more than... more

This is such a neat place to go into! It's owned and run by Book People, but it specializes in feminist literature and work done and pertaining to women. They have a great selection and often have really prestigious guest speakers and book signers. It fills a niche that would otherwise not be addressed.

Book Woman is a small bookstore filled with wonderful finds. They offer many unique and intresting titles for those who have a love of books. It is different from the book stores you would find in a mall and worth stopping by if you love to read, or need a present for someone who has a love for books.
