Stayed at the Bomar. Plumbing problems - toilet making noises all night (gurgling) and then it overflowed. My husband turned off the water supply to the toilet. The owner gave him towels to clean it up. I called the office to see how long we were going to be without a bathroom we could use, the owner cussed at me and told me WE had broken HIS toilet and there was nothing he could do about...

The service was OK, but EVERYTHING else was TERRIBLE. There was no hot water, pieces were missing from the bathroom ceiling, the bathroom walls were BLACK and filthy, the heat did not work too well either

This is not rated # 5 in Athens as stated on the page. It is an old motel. I would not stay there. A tent would be a more suitable option.
