My 2005 X5 had the blower constantly going on and through reading online I learned that it was probably the Final Stage Resistor that had gone (FSR). I had BMW Nashville check to see what was the cause and they told me the electrical and battery were good and that it was the FSR. My 323i was missing terribly. I know it isn't always bad to drive a car that's missing, but this is a BMW. One slight malfunction can domino into a huge repair bill. So I visited the dealership to have them inspect it. The woman at the check-in counter (who seemed none too thrilled to have to talk to a customer) told me it would be a few days before they could look at it. A few DAYS? ... more

after telling me I needed new bushings and other repairs totally nearly $4,500, I decided to get second opinion....and I am sure glad i did.
Not only were most of their repair costs double, but they misdiagnosed big time...saying my bushing needed to be replaced. I took it to Autotech and they said my tires were so dangerously worn that that was causing the shimmy and shaking ....not the... more
