The Blue Note is in the 18th and Vine District, which consists of the Negro League Basebell Hall of Fame, The Jazz Museum, and the Blue Note. If you're there for the museums, it's worth a stop.
We were at the Blue Room as we toured the Kansas City Jazz Hall of Fame - a wonderful place in it's own right. The Blue Room is known for it's Jazz and is a great place to hear live Jazz.
I walked in off the street cause it looked like it was happening. Very friendly staff and a clean atmosphere. There was good jazz playing and it looked like it was drawing some jazz fanatics. Not really a singles place, mostly older couples. The sating was great, close to stage, further up, larger tables or smaller. Music wasn't too late and it was somewhat romantic.
