There are two dedicated coffee shops in historic downtown Pittsboro to get fresh espresso coffee, Cafe Diem and Blue Dot Coffee. Blue Dot Coffee is three or four times bigger than Cafe Diem, with a completely different feel. Both have their own unique appeal.

I love this place. Great coffee & homemade goodies and walls full of art. Very nice atmosphere. Sit in the front window in a rocking chair with a cup of coffee and a muffin and relax while you watch the world of Pittsboro go by.

We were so exited to find a coffee shop in this part of North Carolina. There are no Starbucks in the area and most restaurants still serve coffee that have been sitting on a burner all day. It's unfortunate that Blue Dot doesn't own a quality espresso machine that can brew a perfect cup. This place can have some potential...

Stopped in for a quick coffee. Cute place with friendly counter help. Fresh hot coffee but nothing to write home about flavor wise. Only offered one blend for the day. If your not a serious coffee drinker stop on in.

Friendly service and great coffee coupled with a relaxing atmosphere (and free wifi) really can't be beat. An oasis to catch up on work or just enjoy a pick- me-up coffee
