Go for the tequila not the food
There is no doubt the the Blue Agave Club has one of the best tequila bars around. The food on the other hand is quite average and a bit over priced. I've tried many dishes on the menu, even the dish voted best on the menu by a local paper (camarones xochitl). None of the dishes really stood out or were the least bit memorable.
You should go there and have a few really excellent margaritas and then walk down the street and eat at Strizzi's.

In my opinion the food, margaritas, and atmosphere are all excellent. The prices are a little high, but too me the experience is worth the cost. The service was atrocious. It took them 45 minutes to take our order. The steak was dry and had no flavor. If you want to pay over $30 a plate for mediocre food, then this is the place for you. We told the waiter that we wanted our margarita pitcher blended, he arrived with it on the rocks. We had a nice meal and the food was upscale and tasty...I wasn't concerned about a low spice volume since that is more of a personal taste anyway.
The service got a "B" as the waiter took awhile to get to us and had to get off his cell phone to take our order (I couldn't believe it when he showed up talking on it!) I hope the water/food kid got most of the tip since he did most of the work.

The service at this restaurant was appalling. Enough said. The food, drink, and even the water was superior. It is a little pricey but sitting outside is basically worth it.
