In Short Art supply stores can be a real mess, and if they're too neat, they probably don't have everything you need. On the spectrum of trashed to precious, Blick lies nicely in the middle. Blick's is located conveniently near the Fairfax area, and has a good selection of art supplies in its clean, well-organized store. Some items are a bit pricey, and they do not carry all items available on the Blick site online. For example, they did not carry velour paper for pastels. But overall they have good, knowledgeable customer service staff and they carry some good sales.
