This Irish themed bar claims to send out a warm Irish welcome to all its patrons - it's a slightly downtrodden bar, with staff that can vary from surly to upbeat, but it's a decent place to get a cheap pint of Guinness, or enjoy some good bar food. There are daily drinks specials and Tuesday is Pong Night, with changing weekly prices.

Blarney is an Irish Pub, Bar & Restaurant in Minneapolis in Dinkytown at the U of M. Great food & an awesome beer selection. Open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, take out daily, & banquet facilities.

Hearty food and drink specials galore draw U of Mers--both past and present--to this cozy, casual Irish pub.

In Short
By day, this Dinkytown pub could be mistaken for the U of M cafeteria--full of students cramming for exams over waffle fries. But by night, the numerous food and drink specials...

Shocking behavior witnessed while I was in town for a conference. Dropped in on recommendation from locals for a pint- watched a staff member knock a drink out of someone’s hand and refuse to replace it. Immediately afterward, that same person was groped in full view by another rowdy patron and staff still did nothing! Ruined my night to witness such abuses of their clientele. I hope that woman...

Fun time.. glad they were open:)

Typical Irish college bar. Not very authentic if you are looking for that. The food is pretty mediocre and priced fair. The beer is not priced all that well and the selection is what you would expect on a college campus, Macros and Guiness because they pretend to be Irish.

We came for happy hour and had a great experience. We were delivered drinks fast and food shortly after. I had the nachos and they were good sized and quite tasty. We would definitely come back soon.

Blarney Pub & Grill, an open, airy Irish joint in Dinkytown, pretty much caters to the college crowd. What do you expect? They’re not far from campus. The menu is more sandwich than traditional fare but still sports Bangor and Mash, Shepard’s Pie and Beef Stew. Drinking is high, and as the place itself touts they celebrate like they’re in Dublin.

Tips about this business (4)

On the Menu: The menu offers more than just typical bar grub in the way of gourmet burgers (like the Blarney burger: stuffed with basil, thyme and gorgonzola) and sage-stuffed pork chops. And no joke, they serve Lucky Charms cereal for breakfast.

What to Drink: The traditional Irish specialties like fish-and-chips and bangers and mash taste great with the draft Guinness.
