Black Ink has been nominated because it has been recognized locally as one of the best gift boutiques in the city. The store has two locations; one is in Beacon Hill, and the other is in Harvard Square. There are a number of novelty gifts and games.
Funky gifts take up residence in this fun-filled store. Ever wanted a watering can in the shape of an elephant or a mouse? Find it here. Grab souvenirs from your favorite childhood cartoons, kitchen magnets in quirky designs and an assortment of items that simply defy description; there are bins and bins of unique gifts to please anyone's budget and taste.
Beacon Hill is not all antique and interior design shops. You'll find a couple of funky spots tucked in among the antiquities, and Black Ink is one of them. It's a tiny place with an entire wall of rubber stamps and colored stamp pads. Kids with an artistic flair will love the idea of creating their own stationary or cards with a stylized stamp. It also offers a collection of European post...

Rubber stamps and ink pads, delicate ribbons, cards, tin lunch boxes and embroidered mittens are just some of the trinkets you'll find. We like the Zen candlesticks ($6), green froggy banks and the creamer creatures. Reasonable prices make Black Ink's treasures even more appealing, so surprise a friend with a sushi candle set ($18) or a pet photo album. There's also a miniature library, with...

The wacky wares here defy categorization, but they all fit comfortably under the umbrella of "oh, cool." Rubber stamps, stuffed animals, and offbeat books caught my eye recently; greeting cards and retro toys are equally appealing.
a fabulous selection of gifts and items not to be missed. the ecclectic mix includes something for everyone: cool european toys, sleek, designerly housewares and quick grabs like fake sushi. it's nice that they incorporated items from the museum of useful things, too. the "hello my name is" glassware makes a great housewarming present.

Black ink is one of my favorite unique gift shops in all of Boston. They have a nice selection of stamp pads and stamps that go with the name- but they also carry many unique items like high end candles and small accesories. They also have a small book section that make excellent gift ideas as well. The staff here is also excellent and will help even those of us that don't know what to purchase...

I love to go to Black Ink when I am looking for a gift for someone that is hard to buy for. They have a really weird selection of merchandise. Some of the items I have bought are ink pads, sushi candles, cards and a pet photo album for my mother. They also have a great selection of gag gifts. The store is usually crowded, but for some reason the crowd of people adds to the atmosphere. The...
