What the community has to say about Billings Farm & Museum

Information about this business (2)

The Billings Farm and Museum is the gateway to Vermont's rural heritage and a working dairy farm, located in Woodstock, Vermont. Open daily, May - October, seasonal hours, November - February.

The Billings Farm & Museum is keeping alive the spirit and values of Vermont's rural past. The farm dates back to 1871, when native Vermonter, Frederick Billings, set out to build a farm and forestry operation that would serve future generations as a model of wise stewardship. His farm flourished, and today, is still a first-class working farm, operating with a museum of Vermont's rural heritage.

All of the employees and volunteers are top notch...

We finally got to take part in "Baby Animal Day" this year. So much fun to meet the lambs and calves to whom we'd already been "introduced" through the Farm's FB page.
We've been coming up for the Billings Cheese and Dairy Celebration since 2012 (we happened to be in Rutland for the weekend for another event, and found Billings...

The history of how the Rockefellers lived here and built Woodstock is very interesting

The farm part is pretty interesting, but my favorite part was the house and story of Lwrence Rockefeller and all his contributions to Vermont, and the country. The town of Woodstock is a gem....stay at the Woodstock Inn, enjot the surrounding area...great romantic weekend getaway.
