This is something Dallas can use more of: an intimate, well staffed spot where you can actually hear what your dining mates are saying. Impeccable service, wonderful menu choices with near-perfect execution. Good wine list and ample wines per glass selection. Big hit: shrimp appetizer. Slight mis-hit: perfectly cooked scallops were overly salted. But still a great experience.
For a double birthday dinner we had selected the chef's room tasting menu. While the quality of each meal was acceptable, nothing was really "inoubliable". One thing I will try to forget is the ridiculously small size of the portion. Some items described in the menu were even missing in action - The trio of veal was only a duo, with an excellent but only a tablespoon size sweetbread!

I celebrated my birthday with my boyfriend at Bijoux.
It was fabulous.
The service was very attentive and classy.
The food was beautifully-prepared and explained thoroughly by the waitstaff with just the right amount of flourish.
The pace was perfect, with each course coming out at the right time following the one previously; just enough time in between to relax and enjoy each other's company....
