Quick Quality Introduction to Foreign Languages

Review Rating
I have seen the flyers for BHLI all over LA for the last couple of years--mostly by car washes and places where you see headshots--so I decided to give them a chance when I had to learn Italian in a hurry before a trip to Sicily, where nobody outside of tourist jobs speaks English. I was happily surprised by how fast BHLI was able to teach me basic intro Italian. After two months I was able to order food, go shopping, look for tourist attractions and historic sites as well as exchange a car rental. The weekly classes are designed for working people so are not overwhelming, but they get the job done. Generally, they want you to go from basic to intermediate to advanced classes in the same time slot with the same people (but if you have scheduling conflict, you can change classes or have homework forwarded to you.) I was impressed and will continue using BHLI, especially if I am going on vacation and have to learn another language quickly.

Karin, the director and her lovely staff greet students with smiles and as friends which we have all become. My class has become a family after more than 4 years of conversation and conjugation and we all absolutely adore Marie, our french teacher. She is a fabulous, ... more

I love this school. I have been attending for five years. I can speak, write, and read. I attend French at the B. H. Lingual Institute. I have tried many different types of schools, universities, private tutoring, and adult education classes and have found this one the best. They accommodate to each student. I travel a lot and they have offered me many make-up sessions. The teachers are helpful ... more

I went to the BH Lingual institute for a basic Arabic translation request. Not only did I receive the project a day later than I was told I would receive it, but the work was not done in accordance with how I explicitly requested for it to be done, via email and telephone instructions. School director (Karin Fallon) demanded that I pay her more money in order to finish off the project for which ... more
