I work quite a bit in Madison and this is usually my first choice. Not because it is the greatest hotel, or value (work pays), or anything else. I stay because of location. I work downtown and it is so easy to come in, let the valet park the vehicle and be done with it until it is time to... more

OK, this hotel is convenient to downtown, but after that it suffers from age, thin walls, old beds and staff who kept up loud room- to-room chatter while cleaning the rooms. A family wedding drew us to this hotel -- can't imagine what would get me back. Not a dive, but not worth the $s.
