Very comfortable old-style but excellent lodge

My husband and I stayed in this lodge for several days in June. The service was excellent, the room comfortable and the food in the restaurant was excellent. The building and decor is a little old but that did not affect our comfort in any way. The view from the deck is just stunning and the decor is very warm and charming.

The hotel has very pleasant rooms for a reasonable price. My room was clean and conforatble, with a TV and free wireless WiFi enable me to connect and check emails and surf the net. The other facilities are also pleasant. Bathrooms were plenty big, clean and very functional. Staff was very courteous and helpful. It has limited paved parking but the gravel parking was adequate and with no mud....

Stay away!

Very disappointed. We actually left with still 3 night left that we had to pay for, but very noisy fridge, noise from nearby road and bad beds made it an unpleasant place to stay. Lady at reception was also very unpleasant, and got angry when we said we wanted to move. We have stayed at many hotels and this one was not worth the money. Homer is great, but do find another place to stay.
