Great find

I came here after seeing a movie down the street at the Renaissance. I was dining alone, and really received excellent care from my waiter. He gave good suggestions about the food (my veal piccata was good, the minestrone excellent, not watered down but thick in beans and vegetables) and was attentive throughout.

I can always count on Bella VIa for a good Italian meal. The chicken penne pasta and minestrone soup are always satisfying. The veggie lasagna is a big hit with friends who are vegetarian... or not. I am confident when I recommend Bella Via to friends that they will get a really great meal for a fair price.

The restaurant is dark and looks a bit tired. On the other hand, the staff work hard and aim to please. Out of four entrees sampled, the grilled salmon was delicious and the sausage and peppers were good but overcooked. The chicken marsala was dried out and chewy and the penne was average.
