Beef and Brandy was the most pleasant surprise I have yet to come across in the downtown area near my school. I went in for breakfast and came across the best Belgian waffle I have ever had. Our waiter was also worth a chuckle, being pleasant and making jokes. Service was fast as well, and the menu was huge. There are pleanty of delicious options all day. Beef & Brandy has been open for more than 35 years in the same spot. Lunch is available for $5; a rib eye dinner is $15. The restaurant operates on three levels, each equipped with a separate kitchen ''so we can get the food out faster,'' says owner Steve Salameh.

I tell you, I was born & raised here & I'm on State Street 4 times a week and had never been to the Beef & Brandy. They are going to know my first name from this day on. The Chicken Ceasar was delicious and the Beef Burger was awesome. I will tell ALL my friends.
