Beadworks Cambridge is the areas oldest full-service bead shop and is located in the heart of Harvard Square. Beadworks Cambridge offers an extensive and ever changing selection of open stock beads in every material from plastic to diamonds and rubies. All of the findings, stringing materials and helpful staff you need to "make the jewelry you want to wear".
Beadworks is a nice store. The staff is usually friendly but won't tell you how to make a necklace. You have to take their courses and it's not free of course. When I go there they always have new items. They have semi-precious stones and many others. The shapes and sizes are never the same so it's so unique. The beads are very colorful. They also sell already made necklaces, earings etc... If you buy a lot you will get a discount I think. Some beads are more expensive than others because they are semi or precious stones. The store is well organized(so small anyway) and you will see the names of each stone. The only think I don't like about Beadworks is that is way too small and if you are claustrophobic is not the place for you.
Truereview here to tell you the truth.
The jewelry here will suit you exactly -- you make it yourself. Prices for the dazzling variety of raw materials start at 5¢ a bead, findings (hardware) are available, and you can assemble your finery at the in-store worktable. Ready-made pieces are in stock, and the store schedules jewelry-making workshops; check ahead for details.
Recently visited this wonderful bead store in Harvard Square and was really impressed with the staff's knowledge of beads and jewelry making. Great beads too!
