Bay Bikes at the Barnyard Shopping Center is an excellent bike store. Its one of the best I've been to. They also rent bikes here. The rental price includes the bike helmet. The staff is very helpful.

Superb customer service, easy rental process, nice bikes and reasonably priced. The gentleman who helped us gave us lots of tips and information about safely biking 17 Mile Road from Carmel to Monterey, and the helmet and bike lock were included in the price. They also have multiple locations so if your ride isn't round trip you can drop off...
