Barkstown is a great place to board your dog! All the staff are very friendly and experienced. And the back yard is awesome! Yeah it may be dirty/smelly on the inside--but you know what? ITS A ROOM FULL OF DOGS! They aren't the cleanest creatures, especially when you have 30 to 40 of them running around together. I've seen the staff constantly cleaning up after them--they do a good job!

I was excited to try this place to board my dog. It was close to my home and they seemed to really care about dogs. When I arrived, there was urine on the floor and I thought maybe it was just an accident that had just happened. When I returned for my dog, the place was even filthier and smelled so bad that I couldn't wait to leave. This placed is obviously way understaffed and quite possibly a health hazard. Yikes. Won't go there again.

Barkstown is the best!
Tried a couple of the other high profile places but found Barkstown really cares for dogs.
Unlike other kennels where your dog might be handled by teenage workers, the folks at Barkstown are all dog lovers and clearly enjoy having your dog there.
The location is great - and there IS space outside for the dogs to run and play!
PLUS - the bonus is that the dogs get to play as a group - outside and inside - where else is there the ""doggie daycare"" option - nowhere else but here - open space playpen for the dogs with constant supervision.
