TIME OUT says....inside an elegant, wallpapered parlor, choose from a row of vintage bar stools, or settle into the maroon u...pholstered banquette as you sip expertly crafted, medium-priced cocktails like the Boulevardier (Bourbon, Carpano Antica Formula, Campari). Ideal for small groups, the kitchen also serves cheese boards, small plates and burgers, while backgammon boards provide a bit of...

Only a block away from the Third Street Promenade , Bar Chloe is an ultra-trendy gastro-pub featuring innovative takes on classic cocktails and a small but modern menu of tasty bar bites. Fashionable Angelinos are sure to be seen mingling around the backgammon boards while sipping on cocktail creations such as the Brooklyn, a house take on the Manhattan, or the Classic Sazerac, served with a...

For “quiet, intimate conversations” (it’s definitely “date”-worthy), this “small”, “stylish” room in SaMo three blocks from the beach is a refined respite from the tourist-mecca Third Street Promenade a block away; boasting a French Regency aesthetic and intoxicants like a Chamomile mai tai and a classic Sazerac, it draws a lady-leaning demo that loves the sophisticated yet girlie vibe.

Bar Chloe Restaurant Review

Without a sign and hidden adjacent to a boutique hotel, this small, dimly lit Santa Monica bar is warm and inviting for casual locals during the week and dapper club-goers on the weekend. A white bar top and Deco-style accents and artwork liven up the room. Though the focus is most notably cocktails, dining here is equally worthy. Start with dates wrapped in crispy bacon and stuffed with smoky...

Little Frenchy nibbles and girls in little Frenchy dresses. Santa Monica is a beach town entirely: watch out, Hollywood cometh. Cool kid music sets the tone with sweet fruity drinks (not girl-drink sweet, classy sweet, they promise). Watch out for the strictest doormen in town keeping the riffraff out. Well, as long as the joint stays popular. The expensive food and drinks will keep the...

Reminiscent of a classic Parisian saloon but with the casual atmosphere of beachy Santa Monica, this signless bar is just steps away from the tourist-laden Promenade scene.

In Short
With an unmarked entrance that blends in with Second Street's pedestrian stretch, this unexpected spot might appear like some exclusive word-of-mouth club. But it's come one,...

Staying in Santa Monica and looking for place with good drinks and little east coast feel to it? Bar Chloe is a perfect answer. A smaller bar located in the heart of Santa Monica, it will remind many people of the lounges in NY. Drinks are excellent, and it's a great place to sit and enjoy a drink with good energy but not as packed as Bungalow or anything in Hollywood.

Came in for happy hour and had a wonderful time! It was our first visit and we'll definitely be back. The drinks were spot on. We also had a few of the crostinis which were the perfect little bites to enjoy with said drinks. The whole bar staff were attentive and just plain fun to be around. They really seem to be a well-oiled machine which I can only chalk up to competent and caring...

I have always gone on a weekend night and have an awesome time but felt like getting out so I went out tonight (Wednesday). Definitely go on a weekend night instead of a weekday night. The bartenders are much friendlier on the weekends!! Drinks were still really good but lacked that special something the weekend bartenders provide. Still giving it 4 stars cause I love Chloe but would have given...
