Yummy Toasty sandwiches

I recently started working downtown and I've come to Banquette a couple of times and loved my food each time. All the toasty sandwiches I've tried, I've really enjoyed! I really like the Coppa (artichoke hearts, salami, arugula, pesto). The staff was pretty friendly and the service was decent. I haven't tried happy hour yet, but I'm looking forward to checking it out.

I agree with both ratings. On one hand they are quite great...but the "negative" remarks has a lot of honesty in it. The good news is today they shut down to really do a "spring" cleaning of sorts. I frequent the establishment because I feel I am having my meal in an old European cafe. Banquette looks charming, and the space is, but keep walking to other wine bars / cafes downtown. By 1pm , they were already out of soups, their oven was out of order so the menu was severely limited, I was surprised to see filth under their pastry cabinet, and there was a food and grease covered trash can sitting on the dining room floor.
