best puerco frito hands down – I love this place. Charlie Harley turned me onto it in 1979, before the current husband-wife team began operating the joint, and expanded to 2 rooms. It is the cheapest delicious meal in town, totally declassee. I go for the puerco frito, my partner prefers sopa de res. It's all good.

Best Carne Asada – I've been going to this dive for 10 years. The couple that owns the place (husband cooks, and wife takes the orders) are wonderful. The place is truly a local dive, but the food is cheap and delicious. The "sopa" is excellent if you have a cold!
