The Bank of America Pavilion is an open-air amphitheater , located on Boston Harbor's waterfront. It hosts jazz, pop, rhythm and blues, country, and other performances during the summer months. Views of Boston's skyline and the harbor make this a particularly beautiful spot to see a concert, unless, of course, it's raining! The Bank of America Pavilion concourse offers food, restrooms, and... more

The sound is what you'd expect from an outdoor arena. It echoes slightly but if you're in or near the center, the acoustics are crisp. Sitting on the far edges, there's a noticeable lack of bass. Pricey concessions include lobster rolls, wine and monster cups of beer. Parking is available in nearby garages and free shuttle service by bus is available at South Station.

One of the most pleasant venues in the area, this giant white tent encloses a 5,000-seat pavilion. It schedules pop, rock, country, rap, folk, and jazz on evenings from May through September. Check ahead for information about water transportation and shuttle service from South Station.

The Fleet Boston Pavillion (which I think has undergone yet another name change and is now the Bank of America Pavillion) is a great place to see a show during the summer and early fall. I've attended a college graduation and several concerts here and it's a great atmosphere. Seats are arranged in a semicircle under a white tent right on the water. The venue is pretty big. I've heard some... more

What a fabulous venue! Easy to get to, plenty of reasonably priced parking. With a great view of the harbor, there is always a nice breeze and you can see the planes coming for a landing at Logan. The biggest surprise was the bathrooms - really nice! Not what you would expect at an outdoor venue. The staff is pleasant and helpful. The seat are very close together (they chairs are all bound to... more

Been to a lot of places around and I love this place. Ticketmaster and clear channel still rip you off, but it's like that in any decent size venue. Kind of out of the way, but it's an outdoor venue, it needs to be away from the heart of the city a bit. At least it's not Tweeter (horrible!). Not one seat is bad and the atmosphere is relaxed, wish the season was longer.
