Bali Steak & Seafood Restaurant Review

Balinese hardwood motifs and a sophisticated tropical color palette bring elegance to chef de cuisine Joseph "JJ" Reinhart's cuisine at this oceanfront fine dining restaurant. The menu proposes such dishes as Prime cut, dry-aged steakhouse classics like the tomahawk for two accompanied by house-made Bali steak sauce, Maui onion demi, rich foie gras butter or a traditional sauce béarnaise....

This many-windowed, multilevel room takes delightful advantage of the restaurant's perch above the beach, facing Diamond Head. The chef creates uncomplicated contemporary cuisine—grilled fish, steaks, and chops accented with East–West fusion flavors. The experienced staff, often called on to serve the VIPs who favor this hotel, extends unruffled and gracious service.

"Went back after reading some unflattering reviews about the renamed Bali restaurant, but found it not much changed. The seafood is still good and the service was friendly and helpful. It's a little less elegant with more emphasis on steaks (for the hotel convention crowd?) but they couldn't ruin the view and it's the best of the available nice dining spots in ""the village""."

In addition to the superb food, the view of the Hawaiian sunset is just romantic, and be sure to go on a Friday night to see the fireworks show.

This restaurant in the Hilton Village is the worst dining experience ever. Both my husband and I had violent outbursts of purging w/in 1-1/2 hrs. of our arrival.Husband called to tell..not for the money spent, but other diners. Met with anger and disbelief, then a counter-review to our trip advisor entry. Am so angry. Never complained re: food in my life. Was sick with headaches/exhaustion for...

This was my first dining experience at Bali by the Sea. I can honestly say this was the worst dining experience in my lifetime. At 61 years of age, that is saying a whole lot..Our server was Mike, a nice guy, so it is not his fault that he has to serve food from this horrid place, which I can only describe as a kitchen nightmare. We ate there on January 11, 2011. My wife and I both...

This used to be Bali by the Sea...do not be fooled. We returned thinking it was the same place. There is a new chef and the food is the usual fare offered by all the other steak & seafood places around the island only more expensive. Their food used to be some of the best on the island...now it's just a plain disappointment. Don't bother!

Excellent cuisine, coupled with spectacular views, guarantees satisfaction at this superb establishment. The open-air ambience delivers oceanside appeal, and various courses mix in French and Asian influences. Signature dishes include opakapaka with kaffir lime sauce and macadamia-crusted rack of lamb, but anything the kitchen produces is sure to be sublime. Sunset dinners are optimal, and the...

Located in the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki, this is the place for a special occasion or an important date. It is opulent and classy with a breathtaking ocean view.
