Nice but don't listen
Was up front with estimator on a deadline I needed the work completed by and got told no problem. Next week, work was handed off to a Project Manager, again gave him my deadline for the work to be completed by, and again got told no problem. Within three days was getting the story that some work may have to slip till after my deadline as if my deadline meant nothing. It was a laisse fairre attitude that a simple 2-3 day job could take 2-4 weeks. If I had not called the project manager every day the job would not have gottten completed in the 4 days it did. Even then the carpet guy completed the work on Wednesday when he was suppose to be there on Monday, then Tuesday, then didn't show till Wednesday. And to the project manager this was no big deal, with no excuses even offered. They are not recommended, they do not listen to the customer and do not make any effort to meet a deadline.
