Dr. Blevens has done a wonderful job of marketing himself to other physicians as the 'best diabetes doctor in Austin'; therefore they nearly all recommend him. Dr. Fehrenkamp is a wonderful doctor. He is very knowledgeable and spends plenty of time answering my questions and explaining things to me. I did have to wait quite awhile in the waiting room before seeing him every time I went, but he makes up for it by being very thorough during my appointments and I always leave there feeling like my questions have been answered and I haven't been rushed. ... more

Ok, so Dr. Fehrenkamp is kind of quirky, but he is very personable. The first time I went to him was on 9/6 and I didn't have to wait forever to see him. He was very thorough and spent a lot of time discussing my medical issues with me. I liked him!

Pros

+ Lots of one-on-one time with the doctor

Cons

- He's not your average stuffy doctor with a stone-face demeanor
