I took my family on the duck tours today. It was a nice stop. They hand out quacking noise makers to each guest, which does get old after a few minutes, but still fun. The driver was friendly and had good knowledge of Austin.
The feeling of "driving" from the road into the water is neat.
Make sure to call ahead for seats and parking suggestions (it's downtown).

Its a hoot -- or should I say a quack? Whether or not you opt to shell out for a duck call whistle to blow at the folks you pass in the street, youll get a kick out of this combination land and sea tour.
