Aurelio's Pizza

Fans who've been "going for decades" swear by the "crispy" thin-crust pies made with "tangy", "savory-sweet" sauce and "sufficient cheese and meat" at this homegrown pizza chain; if a few say it can be "hit-or-miss based on location", most "recommend" the Homewood original, adding it has the "best" offerings; P.S. some locations are carryout and delivery only.

We like Aurelio's menu most anywhere but this one is in an older type Tinley Park building that is comfy and cozy as well as excellent service.

The family really enjoyed the quality food: excellent pizza, Alfredo and red sauce spaghetti , garlic bread and salad!
Only downside was TOO MUCH, and too many leftovers.
Great waiting staff, in a large private room!

True Chicago THIN crust

We always get carry out when I'm back home visiting my relatives. Pizza is excellent -- comparable to Nick and Vito's on Pulaski -- true thin crust the way Chicagoans like it. Sauce on the sweet side, great tasting sausage. Pricey, though.

Founded as a company in 1959, this location of Aurelio's Pizza has served Tinley Park since 1984. Aurelio's pan pizzas have won numerous awards, including being voted "Best Pizza in the Southland" by local newspapers more than once and receiving an "Excellent" rating by Zagat surveys. The interior features a small arcade and a relaxed but clean and pleasant atmosphere.
