I too looked for a good mechanic in the area after I moved to San Francisco in 2005. A neighbor highly recommended Atlas Motors as he had been taking his cars there for over two decades. I took my VW Passat to Atlas for a routine oil change and maintenance and have been taking my car there since every 5,000 miles or so for the past two years.
