Dirty bar and i wonder what the kitchen looks like.
Food was not good.

We loved the soups both the Russian Borsch and the Solyanka was flavoursome and cooked to perfection.
I ordered the Golubtzy as a main, it was well cooked but felt it lacked flavour.
Hubby had the Lamb Shiskabob, which unfortunately the lamb was very chewy and also lacked flavour.

You drive out along Olive Street. You eventually come to Astoria Kabob House. It is in a somewhat dingy strip center, with a Chinese restaurant on the eastern end. The sign "Kabob House" made me expect a fast-food gyro and skewer food.
The restaurant itself is rather un-inviting, with a white wall (no windows) facing the street. I actually wondered...

I love Russian food and this is the ever I've had. The borsch was perfect, as was the golubtsy-cabbage rolls. I cannot wait to come back! We had a groupon and had no issues using it.
