Dr. Guzman is simply the best Vet on the Island!
My husband and I are forever greatful for Dr. Guzman. He helped our puppy, Eve when she was at her worse. It turns out, she had a tibial avulsion, which is basicly when a dog's knee cap detaches from their leg. We were distraught and completly surprised. Dr. Guzman was completely thorough with his findings was genuine, kind and compassionate with our situation. He's very dedicated to his work and showed that with our pet. Thank you Dr. Guzman for everything you've done.

No where else is better for your pet
I walked into Assisi Vets for the very first time with my very sick cat, Cali and some lab work from another animal hospital just last week.
First I met Maria and Nicole and felt like we'd been friends forever.
Then Dr. Guzman came in and in one minute I was part of the family and he was treating Cali as if he had known her all her life.
For four days we struggled and on the fifth day we knew it was time to say goodbye. It is probably the hardest thing I've EVER had to do but everyone at Assisi supported me emotionally and allowed me to let Cali go with grace and dignity.
I have lived in the area for over thirty years and have never EVER found a Vet I felt completely comfortable with or trusted 100%. Thank GOD that I did at the time I needed him the most.
I can't imagine EVER having another Vet treat my pets.
Assisi doesn't just take care of the animals, it takes care of their owners as well. I can't praise them enough.

Very Impressed
I have three dogs and a cat and was so happy that a new vet opened up in the area. Until now, I have not been pleased with any vet that I had been to. When I went to Assisi, I was immediately impressed at how nice and clean the place was. The nurse was very nice and the doctor was really down to earth. He gave me all the details and didn't force me into anything I didn't really need. I would highly recommend this place, I think I have found a vet for life, and I hope you do too!

Fantastic Animal Care Always
My dogs have always been attended to with professionalism and care at this facility. My dogs look forward to visiting and hanging out at this office. This office is patient, especially with my dogs (Staffordshire Bull Terriers). I have yet to experience anything but outstanding services. Dr. Guzman has helped my 1 dog who was very ill with allergies do a complete turn around. The doctor has also assisted my other dog with immediate help when it ate rat poison. They were ready on hand when I called and arrived there. This facility is the only Nassau County office that has helped my dogs 100%.

Our cat was very sick for awhile and had been under the care of Dr. Guzmon at Assisi Veterinary Hospital. He and his staff did everything they could but age & multiple illnesses had taken their toll. What made a very tough decision more palatable was the sensitive, caring and personal touch...
I have been going to Assisi since it opened
up for business in 2007. The facility is very clean and the Dr's and staff are wonderful. They treat my pets like it was their own. Dr. Guzman is an excellent veterinarian. You can see it in how he interact with my pets (dogs/cats). He has a natural love for this field. I could go on and on..............
