Although I'm not good enough to call myself an artist, I love going to Asel's. They have a HUGE selection of drawing papers and sketch books. Many times I've been unsure about what a certain pencil or brush does and they are always very happy to explain the differences to me. They don't push for a sale, either, and are happy to let you wander and look for as long as you want.

As a professional artist for a bit over 30 years,I highly suggest "only Asel's art supply" to anyone i know. you can toodle around all over Austin, go to alot of other supply stores and get supplies but if you wanna get what you want in just one fale swoop,..go to Asel's by all means. friendly staff, knowlegable about thier inventory and can find you just about everything you need with... more
