My husband and I moved to Arkansas from Ohio. We needed to open a checking account here locally so I could actually use checks in the store and not get charged ATM fees for using a "foreign" ATM card. Three months after we opened our account we had ATM cards, but we did NOT have our checks that we ordered on the day we opened the account. We were told we would have them in 7-10 business days....
