I have just taken my first class at the Art Student's League of Denver and am very pleased with my experience. The instructors are all respected artists, as are many of the students, so you get as much direction as you request, depending on the instructor.
The membership alone is valuable -- Gets you newsletters and invitations to all sorts of events sponsored by or connected with the League. It' ...

I took one of their drawing courses and although it was a new, interesting thing to do with my week, I was dissapointed with the instructor. I felt like there was little to no direction from her and that it was more like a three hour time to just fool around. Maybe others would benefit from this highly unstructured teaching style, but it just wasn't for me. Awesome space though...the exhibits are ...
