Friendly atmosphere, a star chef and a true Italian experience. Salumi is a local darling! Notable chef Armandino Batali casts his spell with lip-smacking home-cured meat and sausages. If you're game for a feast, order a full plate of assorted hot or cold meats. By lunch hours, however, Salumi's waiting lines run long but your patience is usually well-rewarded. Salumi has become a pilgrimage spot for lovers of hearty artisanal ... more

For many folks, salami is a guilty pleasure. We all know it has a lot of fat, but it tastes too good to resist. Now, raise the bar on salami, and you have the artisan-cured meats of this closet-size eatery near Pioneer Square. The owner, Armandino Batali, who happens to be the father of New York's famous chef Mario Batali, makes all his own salami (as well as traditional Italian-cured beef tongue). ... more

Two others are merely OKas in I wouldnt go wait in line for 45 minutes again to buy those. But the line seems to be long all the time. I wonder what the secret isperhaps Ive gotten use to spices and need more to get satisfied. You should try it at some point but dont go between noon and 1pm because ... more
