This place is really going down hill. I agree with the previous commentators about feeling taken advantage of by Dr. Philip Farruggia at Appletree Family Dental. He does not seem honest
I originally started going to Appletree Family Dental about three years ago. I saw Dr. Rachel Driscoll, who I assume was some sort of partner or employee of Dr. Farrugia. Dr. Driscoll was amazing. She seemed very honest and caring. I had my wisdom teeth taken out by her, a filling redone and a few sealants. She never pushed to get anything done. Just six months ago, she said I had great teeth and she didn't think I would need anymore work for a long time as long as I took care of my teeth. She was so great.
Then, unfortunately, Dr. Driscoll left the practice. I did not know this until I went to my next my six month appointment. I already had my teeth cleaned by a grumpy hygienist when Dr. Philip Farruggia came walking into the room. He immediately starting spewing off high-cost work that I would need to get done. Keep in mind that I am in my 20s and have had great check-ups for years with no need for major work other than a couple of fillings when I was in grade school. He said I would need two crowns, eight sealants, bite guard, etc., - thousands of dollars in work when none of this was ever mentioned in my last check up. He took maybe two seconds to look at my teeth. The hygienist was the one who actually poked around looking for cavities. What really ticked me off was that he said he was most concerned about my wisdom teeth and that I would need to get the extracted as soon as possible. The kicker - I had my wisdom teeth taken out about two years ago by his partner, Dr. Driscoll, in his office. This showed that he's truly just in it for the money and not the well being of the patient.
I am never going back again.
I would recommend this office to anyone that needs a great dentist for yourself and your kids. They are very caring and they get you right in. The doctor and staff are very friendly. Great place to get your dental work done!
The doctor and staff at Appletree are very compassionate and highly knowledgeable. My problem was solved on the first appointment and I was thrilled that I didn't have to be "referred out" like my other dentist always used to do. I love the evening appointments so I never have to take off work to go to the dentist and my children don't have to miss school. My children are having their braces done at Appletree and they never complain anymore about going to the dentist. The doctor and his staff are great with kids (and adults) and they really seem like they enjoy dentistry. I feel very blessed that we found Appletree Family Dental and would highly recommend this office to anyone that is looking for a great place to have their dental work done. Check them out, you'll be glad you did!
Appletree Family Dental is amazing! They have taken such good care of me. Getting my teeth fixed has made a huge difference. I love my new smile! I can't stop smiling!! I highly recommend them to anyone that wants excellent treatment and results in a comfortable and friendly atmosphere.. Thank you Appletree... I am so happy!!
