Apex Appliance. We called Apex Appliance to repair our heater. They replaced the thermostat and charged us their fee. Three weeks later, the thermostat malfunctioned. We called Apex on the basis of their printed one-year warranty and did not get a response for three days. In the meantime, it was very cold (early January) and our home was freezing. We called another company, they came at once, showed us how the thermostat was incorrectly wired, replaced it and charged us their fee. We disputed the Apex charge on our credit card. We contacted Apex and explained the situation. The Apex owner actually yelled at us and told us that the company that repaired our heater cheated us, that it was “only a loose wire,” and to take it up with the reputable company that repaired it correctly. We strongly advise others to avoid Apex.
