Worst experience ever!
On February 25, 2008, we gave Francisco Velez of The Antique Studio now located at 6808 Alameda, a check for $1,500.00 which he cashed the same day. This was a 50% deposit on cabinet refinishing work. We went through six weeks of scheduling and rescheduling for him to pick up the cabinets. Every time he was a no-show. He did not perform any work whatsoever. He finally agreed to refund our money. But now we can never find him and he screens all of our calls. We have been after him daily for our refund. Every day is a different excuse, but we still have not been reimbursed a single penny of our money. Beware!!
Undercapatilized and unreliable
My wife and I spent in excess of $2500. Owner requires 50% down and remainder upon completion. However they pressure you for progress payments and rush the process in 11th hour because they desperately need the money. The lacquer dried in streaks. We are told our table is being refinished. Yet it is buried under layers of unfinished work. We've had three scheduled deliveries and all are no-shows. They don't return calls and the owner will screen your call with caller ID. Only new prospective customers get return calls. Be cautious!
