I brought my boxer dog, Lily, to Animal Medical Center for a second opinion on her illness. Dr. Kasey Singley was the one to do her examination. When I brought her the x-ray I got from the other vet, she was able to point out something that the previous doctor had missed. Unfortunately there was nothing that she could really do surgically because it was a spinal injury. She did suggest to treat it medically at the vet for a few days to see if it would by some miracle help her. My husband and I tried to raise money during this time to take Lily to Auburn. We only got 180 dollars out of 5,000 that we needed by the end of the week, but when we took Lily home it seemed that medicine was working well and she was almost acting herself- we thought it might give us more time to raise money. That weekend, her system decided that there were too many anti-inflamatories for her to handle and she was bleeding out internally. Lily was extremely anemic and we took her to Dr. Singley to have her put to sleep. Dr. Singely and her staff were extremely sympathetic, they had gotten to know Lily during her stay there the week before. After a few weeks, we got a letter in the mail saying that Dr. Singley and her staff had donated to the Scott-Ritchey Research Center in memory of our girl. I will always remember the kindness the staff at Animal Medical Center showed us.
I give them one star because 0 stars is not an option. When my friend's cat was dying over the weekend, Dr. Singley treated her poorly by calling her ridiculous for not calling the day before and giving her no other option but to watch her cat die in her arms. My friend only wanted to put Mr. Grey to sleep so that he would no longer suffer, but because it was a weekend, Dr. Singley refused to leave her warm couch to help her. Yes, they supposedly offer after hour services, but apparently it is only when Dr. Singley is in a good mood. What is appalling is not only that she refused to give my friend options, but that she talked down to her and made her feel stupid for calling in the first place. Calling to put your pet down is a very difficult decision, the last thing anyone needs is to be talked down to as well. Now my friend will forever have memories of her beloved pet having seizures and dying in her arms.
This woman (Dr. Singley) is apathetic and rude and should not be touching anyone s pets. There are other great vets in the area, I highly recommend anyone who cares about their pets to go to one of them instead. Don t subject your money, your pets, or yourself to Animal Medical Center, especially Dr. Singley.
We have used Dr John for years. Always pleased & Sadie sure does enjoy her "spa day
Karie F.Every vet here is awesomeThey wouldn't be a veterinarian if they didn't love animals. Sometimes it's the owners that cause the trouble and then want to blame everyone else but themselves.
Great Vet! Dr.s and staff are excellent with any animal and they love them as much as their own.
My tip is don't go. They don't care about animals OR people. Go to Dr. Dykes instead. Much better veterinarian both in skill and in compassion.
Always a great experience with Dr. Heilmeier and Dr. Kasey. Both have met me late at night when I've had emergencies. Dr. Heilmeier recently met me at 9:30 on a Saturday night after my pup got bit...
