Animal Medical Care of Newport was started 1 July 1976 as a mixed animal mobile practice by Dr. Steven R. Brown. In October of 1976 the practice, as well as Dr. Brown and his family, moved to a house at 159 NE 10th Street. The garage area was remodeled into the clinic space and a kennel area was added to the back of the building. The practice was truly a family business with two small boys...
