The Anderson County Museum is an enormous improvement over the previous museum in the basement of the old court house. You can spend hours in there, but I'd suggest you make several visits because there is NO CHARGE. My only complaint is that there are quite a few goofs in the written material hanging on the walls. The Anderson County Museum is a wonderful place to visit. Young and Old will enjoy. Great history about Anderson. Things that Anderson invented. History of the school systems in Anderson County. Art work and Authors in the gift shop. One to two hours and it's free. All kinds of interesting things inside. The people who run and also the people...

Beautiful exhibit on France. Historical and modern. Presented beautifully....had an opportunity to see things that would not have been able to if Anderson SC had not taken in this amazing exhibit.

The Anderson County Museum is a great place to learn about Anderson County, and the history of Anderson and the surrounding towns. There are exhibits that change and ones that are permanent.
I would recommend a trip to the museum to any newcomer to the area. Admission is free- just check to see days open. It is a real jewel...

A great museum for our small town !! Great location too.
Curator is informative and kind. More people should utilize the museum that we have at our fingertips here in Anderson.
