I would consider myself a bit of a food snob. My girlfriend proclaims daily that I obsess over the quality of the meal, the service and over all atmosphere of a place - "this isn't your last meal!!" she reminds me.
But when I do find a spot that has all of the above, when all you have to do is relax, enjoy the company of your friends and have a great FN meal - I'm loving it!

nice on main street in the heart of West Hollywood. Nice rooms and a bit pricy but very central if you are in Los Angeles for the first time. They have a shuttle that also can take you to the Universal Studios, included in the service you only tip.
This hotel is currently undergoing a sorely needed, major renovation. During my May 2007 stay, the room featured faded carpet, stained furniture, waterlogged nightstands, and a loose shower curtain rod that fell down twice -- once after asking the front desk to attend to it.
Wireless internet signal was annoyingly intermittent and I had to move my bed to find a place to plug in for power. The...
