This restaurant is classic Italian at its best. Amicci's is reasonably priced and you won't go home hungry. With lots on the menu to choose from like Baked Penne, Chicken Marsala and Shrimp Cacciatore, they didn't leave out any of the favorites. There's even a vegetarian section on the menu to keep everyone happy. Amicci's also handles large groups and catering.

At this self-proclaimed "very casual eatery," you don't have to spend a fortune to get a satisfying taste of Little Italy. Blue jean-clad diners and walls hung with movie posters make for a fun atmosphere. Service is friendly and usually speedy, and the food comes in large portions. Try the chicken Lorenzo: breaded chicken breast covered in a marsala wine sauce, red peppers, Prosciutto, and provolone ... more

The Scene You'll spy contented diners clustered around black-and-white checked tables under framed posters of Italian movies if you peek through the picture windows from the street. But then you wouldn't be able to hear the music piped into this collection of small dining rooms which, defying your prejudicial expectations, are more likely to be filled with the vocal stylings of Bob Marley ... more

It's no mystery why Amicci's has been so popular for so long. Open a restaurant
with good, basic Italian food served in heaping portions and at reasonable prices, and people
will come.

This Little Italy stalwart has changed quite a bit since it opened in 1990. Back then, it
had 43 seats and a casual, sandwich-driven menu. Today, with a new dining area that opened in
May, the restaurant ... more

This was the worst restaurant experience we've had in years. After making the trouble to make a reservation we thought we'd surely be treated to a nice (or at least decent) table. Instead, we were seated right outside of the kitchen at a rickety table that was in the most high traffic area in the entire restaurant. The menu was disappointing to say the least. Everything was the same with only ... more

"Bargin" Italian shows in the food; if going out for Italian, spend just a little more and get a LOT more...

Reviews tout this restaurant as one of the "best bargins" in Little Italy, Baltimore. I now understand the reason for this, and the lack of praise of their fare. On a recent evening, prior to a show, I was part of a four-person party who landed here for dinner. The atmosphere in their bar is quite nice, but it does not feel Italian. It felt more like an attempt to be trendy (and, of course, to ... more

Amicci's was a great disappointment. If you want to pay inflated prices to eat tastless food off of uneven tables with vinyl tableclothes using tin cutlery in a dingy back room, this is the place for you. Maybe our expectations were raised too high by reader reviews. But after our highly unsatisfying experience, I wonder if the positive "reader" reviews weren't submitted by the restaurant. The front ... more
