I use to go here as a kid with my family , all tho there food isn't as good as it use to be the staff is still friendly . I love the salad bar , best part .

You can't beat the price for the what you get. This is not top cuisine but family buffet type food. Steaks, burgers, chicken, etc. for entrees including a very generous and tasty salad bar. It's a good deal for a decent hot meal.

Originally opened in 1978, American Steakhouse has five locations in Connecticut, including this long-time Meriden establishment. Known for its value, this chain serves up salads, steaks, ribs, burgers, barbecued chicken and seafood all cooked to order.
