One of the few hotels tucked in the residential Gold Coast neighborhood, this small 1920s property is a 10- to 15-minute cab ride from the Loop. The secluded setting makes it popular with celebs and literary figures, and the world-famous Pump Room still attracts a loyal following (Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall celebrated their wedding in Booth One). A favorite of visiting celebrities since it opened in 1926, guests have included Frank Sinatra, Vince Vaughn and Richard Gere, among others who populate the photos adorning the hotel's famous Pump Room... more

I stayed here with a friend for a weekend shopping trip in Chicago.

From the moment we arrived, someone was there to help us with our bags, and park our car. Check in was quick, and getting to our room was easy. Our room was gorgeous! And the view was amazing! We visited the Pump Room, and enjoyed our time there. Be sure to see Natalie and... more
